LABEL UPDATES
A few weeks ago I approved the Test Pressings for my 20th release The Reaction "We Have Nothing To Lose But Boredom" Full Length 10". This record is a split release with Let's Pretend records. First orders will receive there choice of Clear or Black vinyl. Should be posting a track from this release on my website here in the next week or so. I'm in the final processes of finishing the zine for my 16th release "The Ties That Bind" a five way split CD/Tape featuring the final recordings from Giant Bags Of Weed, Rock Paper Stupid, Wrister, and Que Mart?, with some extra unreleased goodness from our friend Peter Stubb thrown in between bands. I wanted this to be out by October of last year and clearly that didn't happen. I'm lagging behind on the zine but I hope to have these go on sale the same day as the Reaction 10".
I have two other releases that should be going into the production stages soon first up is White Night's debut LP "Immortal", i've had the unmastered version of these songs for quite some time and I couldn't be more eager to start on this release. In other news I celebrated my 24th birthday on the 30th of September. It was a great day despite having quite the horrible week leading up to it, you see I meant to update the site sooner so the distro update list wouldn't be quite so large. But after a small string of bad luck left me computer-less I had to wait until now to get everything online. Anyways so long story short my computer completely crashes, I lose all my files. Later that night I take a walk and get arrested for being in a city park after dark. Ridiculous? Yes. Very. Even more ridiculous was that due to the Atlanta city jails computers being "down" I was stuck in jail on a $60 fine for a few days. All I can say is the city of Atlanta is broke and locking people up for whatever they can. The good news is everything got thrown out in court, the judge literally laughed at the charges. I was out in just enough time to celebrate my birthday with my friends and family and luckily enough didn't lose my job. My girlfriend drew the card pictured above as well as some of the funny drawings of me pictured at the end of this update. Anyways I scored some good stuff, the S/T Dire Straits album, a printer, candy, soda, and even a few meals. Also got myself quite the nice birthday gift as well...more on that later!
  

WRISTER / NORTH TROLLS "SPLIT" 7"
This is the first of the four upcoming records that should be coming out  week to week from now until FEST time. ( End of October ) I'm really excited to have this out, , two of my favorite pop punk bands from Atlanta on one split 7". Wrister has been playing for years now and i've been bothering them about recording a full length for what seems like forever. Well, I didn't quite get a full length but I got two of there best songs to date. They don't get out of Atlanta nearly as often as they should but chances are if you played a show in Atlanta you more than likely played with them or played at their house ( 141 Moreland ). On the flipside of the record the North Trolls make there debut with three fun poppy punk songs. They started playing sometime last year and quickly became one of my favorite local bands to see live. These are there first recordings as a full band and i'm excited for whats to come.

In other news Used Kids and Tenement played an amazing show in Atlanta tonight with Gentleman Jesse and Stolen Hearts, and are playing nearby the next two nights ( Athens, GA & Chattanooga, TN ) Heading up to the show in Chattanooga on Tuesday night to see Hidden Spots and hopefully pick up their new LP for myself and some for distro, I will try to do the same for the Used Kids new LP and the Tenement / Friendly Fire "Split" 7". I have a bunch of the Tenement / Used Kids Split 7"s  on black and clear gold vinyl and Tenement "S/T" 7"s on clear green vinyl that can be purchased in the 7" Vinyl section.

       After more than two years of releasing and distributing what I feel is some of the best music around I figured it about time to have our own website where I can update people on whats new for the store and the label. My goal was to have this website running by the beginning of 2009, obviously that didn't happen largely due to my lack of knowledge when it comes to anything computer related. Either way i'm really excited to finally have something up and running.
       As the intro screen suggested I should have four new releases coming out very soon! I'm expecting to have something new every few weeks over the next two months...

First up is a new four track Al Scorch 7" entitled "This Lonesome World..." I'm really excited to be releasing something for Al, the first time I saw him play live he completely blew me away. I don't know much about playing the banjo or any instruments for that matter but Al sure does. Third up is a split 7" from two of my favorite Atlanta punk bands playing right now, Wrister and The North Trolls. Three years ago I originally planned to release a Wrister 7" as the labels first release but for one reason or another it never happened. Either way i'm glad to finally put some Wrister songs out.  Wrister has been playing for years now and the two songs on their side of the record are my favorite they have ever recorded. Chances are if you're in a punk band and you played an Atlanta show you probably played with these guys before or at least played at their house. The North Trolls make their debut on this record and what better way than with 3 fast poppy punk tunes about Mason, cheap drugs, and coming home. Just not in that particular order. They just played a release show for this record show I should have these available soon.

The fourth and final release is the LP version of the Sass Dragons "Bonkaroo!" album. After having this CD on repeat for the last year I decided it really should come out on LP format, and with the help of Johann's Face Records this record should be coming out sometime in October, if not sooner.
